Peab has been commissioned to renovate and expand the city library in Helsingborg. The project includes the renovation and expansion of the existing city library. The new expansion will be built in a basement and will have a planted roof terrace. The total area will be 9,400 square meters, with the expansion accounting for 3,700 square meters and the renovation accounting for 5,700 square meters. – We are proud to be part of building an innovative city library for Helsingborg – a project where quality, collaboration, and long-term thinking are in focus. The project is a total contract in collaboration. The work will start in August 2026 and is expected to be completed in December 2028. This contract has been preceded by a so-called phase 1 agreement, which means that Peab has been contracted to find an optimized product with the right quality together with the customer, as well as to handle risks and opportunities. Now the project is moving into phase 2 after signing of the contract, which means detailed project planning and production. The project is registered in the Building business area in the second quarter of 2026.
