Helsingborg's Olympia stadium is getting a new hybrid grass this summer. The city is replacing the 15-year-old grass with a modern hybrid grass that meets the stricter requirements for international matches.

What happens to the old grass?

The old grass will be given away to visitors after the match against GIF Sundsvall on June 21. Each visitor can get a piece of the grass, about one square decimeter, to grow at home.

Why is it important for Helsingborg?

Helsingborg's city is investing around 10 million kronor in the new hybrid grass. This is part of the city's work to reduce energy consumption and meet the stricter requirements for international matches.

What comes next?

Helsingborg plays its next match against IFK Norrkoping on August 1. The team is currently 7th in Superettan, with 41 points and a goal difference of +3.
